According to the stress condition of the cross arm, the single cross arm is used for the straight pole or the corner pole below 15 degrees, while the double cross arms are used for the corner pole, tension pole, terminal pole and branch pole with the angle between 15 and 45 degrees, and the cross cross arms are used for the corner pole, tension pole, terminal pole and branch pole with the angle above 45 degrees. (double cross arms are used for poles in some areas). The cross arms are generally installed 200mm away from the pole top. The straight-line cross arms should be installed on the power receiving side. The cross arms of corner poles, terminal poles and branch poles should be installed on the pull wire side.
